In last year's Clach Extra under the heading "An
Explanation" we commented on the ridiculous number of stamps
that we had to stick on envelopes in order to mail the Clach
to overseas countries (link).

Well, it seems as if the Royal Mail may have been reading
our website - we can dream! It seems that common sense
has prevailed and since the overseas mail rates were revised
earlier this year they have been printing stamps with values
to match common overseas postal rates. Mirable
dictu*!! Your Treasurer wonders how long this will
last.

For those members who have forgotten their Latin (or
never learnt it) "Mirable dictu" translates to "Wonderful to
