On the Queen’s Official Birthday 2016 (9th June) Dr Vivienne
Joyce Thom from Canberra, ACT was awarded an AM (Member of the
Order of Australia). The citation for her award read: ***** "For significant service
to public administration through a range of senior roles, and
as a mentor to women in executive positions." ***** Dr Thom's
service includes: Inspector-General of Intelligence and
Security, 2010-2015. Deputy Commonwealth Ombudsman, 2006-2010.
Chief Executive Officer, Royal Australian Mint, 2002-2006.
Commissioner of Patents and Registrar of Designs, IP
Australia, 1999-2002.

Professor Bruce Graham THOM - an Award

On Australia Day 2010 (26th
January) Emeritus Professor Bruce Thom from New South Wales
was awarded an AM (Member of the Order of Australia). The
citation for his award read:
