Earlier in this section of the website we
featured Grahame & Rossie Thom's passion for their Garden
in Australia. They are not alone among Clan member's past
and present. Your webmaster's mother, Jean Hunter Hedges, neé
Thoms, joined the Society in 1973 but sadly passed away
shortly afterwards. Her passions in life were her family and
constructing her garden in Surrey, England. The slideshow
below shows the wonderful results of her labours. It is
believed that these photographs were taken in the late
1960's.

A Garden in Surrey,
England.
Your webmaster should apologise for the
poor state of the lawn that appears in some of the
photographs. In his youth it was his job to look after the
grass and he clearly was not doing an excellent job! He does
however believe that the pictures provide a fitting memorial
for his mother. Cuttings were taken from some of the plants so
some of the garden lives on in the webmaster's garden in
Hampshire.
