As part
of the year of Natural Scotland in 2013, the public were
given the opportunity to vote for their favourite Scottish
wild "animal". When the result was revealed the Golden Eagle
had nearly twice as may votes as the runner up. Perhaps
surprisingly the Scottish wildcat did not feature on the list
- maybe this was because they are so difficult to
see.
