Dear Member/Supporter,
MacThomas Gathering – Pitlochry
August 2017
We are pleased to say that the response from
clan members and guests booking to attend the 2017 Gathering
has been much greater than expected. It is going to be a
great event!
The original programme was based on
transporting gatherers in just one coach, but as we now
have two coaches, there is scope for some choice in your
preferred activity.
Before we can confirm the arrangements for
any alternative options, we need to know if there is
sufficient demand. Please take a few minutes to consider
how you would like to spend your time, then reply to the
original e-mail or complete the form below.
Thursday 24th August

shopping in Pitlochry, etc. 13:00 Lunch at Scotland’s
Hotel or in Pitlochry (cost not included in
package) 14:30 Coach No.2 leaves for

Killicrankie for Bungie
Jumping.
This would incur
an additional charge cost of £68 (discount
from usual cost of £75)
minimum age 14. Those not wanting to jump could
visit the Killicrankie
(free). A voucher towards a drink/snack would be
provided for use in the
Visitor Centres. Coach would then take you to Glenshee
Ski Centre for
lunch as in original programme.

Before making any decision, you may like to consider the
following:
Whisky Distillery – not suitable
for young children, tasting only available to over 18yrs, and
some areas not accessible to those with mobility
issues.
Pool
Party – children must be supervised by a
responsible adult.
Strathardle Games – if you want to
march on with the Clan you will need to be wearing a
kilt/tartan skirt and you must opt for the original programme
leaving Pitlochry at 11:30.
