This Scottish hardwood shield is produced in Blairgowrie just a few miles South of the Clan Territory in Glenshee. It features a hand-painted reproduction of the Chief's crest (a wildcat holding a serpent) within a buckled strap bearing his motto: Deo Juvante Invidiam Superabo - "With God's help I will overcome envy". The crest is mounted on an authentic Clan MacThomas ancient tartan backing.
