A Clan MacThomas picnic will be held in Richmond Park in South
West London between noon and 5:00 pm on Saturday 28th August
2010. It is hoped that Clan Members living in the South will
be able to attend this casual event. Family and friends will
of course be most welcome.
The date of this
event is most appropriate because in other years this would
have been the weekend of our Gathering in Glenshee.
Coincidentally it is also the Chief's birthday.
We would suggest that those
attending should study a map before travelling. Richmond Park
is large and it would be easy to get lost! Links are provided
at the foot of this article.
We will be based close to the
Roehampton Gate entrance to the Park where there is a car
park, café and conveniences. We will be on
the green across the road opposite the café. There will be some signs and
flags to help you find us. If you do get lost on the day we
suggest that you call the European Secretary on her mobile
phone. The number was given in the Summer 2010 European
Newsletter.
A small amount of food will be
provided, but those attending are asked to bring one dish that
they are happy to share with others present. Please also bring
your own drinks. Plates, cups and cutlery will be
provided.
Will members intending to attend please use
this link to
send details of the number in their party to the European
Secretary before the 14th of August 2010. Please mention the
Picnic in the text area.
A report and photographs of the event will of
course appear on the website in due course.
