Jubilee Gathering 2014Competition to Design Logo

The Clan
Macthomas Society was founded in 1954. At the Gathering in
2014 we will therefore be celebrating our Diamond
Jubilee.

On this website
we are currently illustrating items that relate to the
2014 Gathering with the logo which appears to the
right. This was "designed" by your webmaster in a
spare five minutes. Quite frankly it lacks imagination
and is simply not good enough. (His own
words!)

We are therefore
launching a competition to design a more suitable logo to
celebrate this significant milestone for our Society. The
competition will only be open to our younger supporters -
that is to say those will be in full time education or
have not yet started their education as at 1st
January 2013. Participants must be members of the Society or
closely related to a member.

Full rules
for the competion will be published shortly. However it is
expected that one or more prizes will be awarded and that
at least one item of merchandise launched for the Gathering
will feature the logo. The competition will be judged by
members of Council. The deadline for submitting entries
will be 30th April 2013. Entries should be sent by e-mail
to the webmaster: webmaster@clanmacthomas.com.

So younger
supporters, please get your pencils out and see what
masterpieces you can come up with. Older members are
asked to encourage their young relatives to submit
entries.
