Michelle Hewitt is an artist who used to lived with her family in
rural Glenshee and concentrates on painting the Scottish
wildlife which is abundant in the area. Her favourite medium
is soft pastels.
The picture of the wildcat on the right featured at the
Clan MacThomas 2011 Gathering in Glenshee and the original was
purchased by one of our members and is now adorning a wall in
Norway.

Photographer in the Highlands
Lightscape Creations is a small photography
company based in Lower
Drimmie just north of Blairgowrie. The proprietor, Isabelle
McInally, describes herself as a professional photographer,
digital artist and web designer. She specialises in what she
calls Progressive Artistic photography and is happy taking
landscape, commercial, wedding and portrait photographs.

Based in Bridge of Cally, Write a Home Limited are
suppliers of fine journals, diaries, quills, fountain
pens and inks to discerning customers. Their products can
be purchased on-line or from their stalls at events
around Perthshire.
Members who visit Glenshee for the
winter sports may be interested in this new and, in their
words, exciting ski school and hire company which first
opened for the 2012/13 season.

Based at the Glenshee Pottery and Visitor Centre just
south of the Clan lands in Glenshee, FreshTracks Glenshee
offer a quick and personal service for individuals, families
and groups. It is owned and run by experienced ski
instructors.
Heather Hills
Farm based in Bridge of Cally (just South
of Glenshee) has been
producing heather honey in the Perthshire since 1945. They
have 1300 hives and 52 million honey bees spread across the
Highlands.

Glenshee Pottery
The Glenshee
Pottery is located just a few hundred metres
south of the Clan MacThomas lands at the Cockstane. It is the
home of the 'Wee Bothies'.
You can see the pottery workshop
in action and have a go at paint a pot - great fun for
children and adults alike. There is a large selection of
things to paint from small ornaments to piggy banks, mugs to
teapots. A great way to spend a wet afternoon!
Alternatively select a gift for
any occasion from their large selection of pottery, cards,
clothing and jewellery.
Refreshments are available and
the Glenshee Visitor Centre is located within the
pottery.
This shop is one of Scotland's oldest village stores with over
155 years of continuous service to the
community.
It is open
seven days a week (mornings only on Wednesdays, Saturdays and
Sundays).
The services
available include a range of fresh food, newspapers, cash
machine, off licence and the post office.
They offer
free delivery of welcome packs to holiday cottages in the area
and naturally good old-fashioned customer
service.
They have now
been voted the best Village Shop and Post Office in Scotland
on two occasions. Recommended by your

River Thoughtful Fishing
