It has been announced that what is described as the world’s largest family history conference, RootsTech, will take place between 29th and 2nd March 2024. It can be either an in-person experience or a global online event. Registration is now open and it costs nothing to attend virtually.
The organisers, FamilySearch, advise that it will be able to join the event from any part of the world through their virtual event. It will of course also be possible to attend the in-person event in Salt Lake City, USA.

It has been announced that the world’s largest family history conference, RootsTech Connect from Family Search, will take place virtually between 25th and 27th February 2021. It will be completely free.
In their advance publicity the organisers state that this conference is known for "incredible keynote speakers, the latest industry news, and inspiring classes to help you discover your family story".
The NGS (National Genealogical Society) 2020 Family History Conference will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA between 20th and 23rd May 2020.
It is claimed that the conference, which is promoted under the above "tag line" will offer the best and most expansive series of lectures to advance attendee's family research. It is stated that this is an opportunity to choose from more than 175 lectures presented by many nationally recognized speakers, explore an exhibit hall filled with more than 80 exhibitors, and network with more than 2,000 genealogists.
The 31st Annual Conference and Family History Fair of the Scottish Association of Family History Societies (SAFHS) will take place in Musselburgh on Saturday 18th April 2020
from 9:00am to 4:30pm. The venue will be the The Brunton, Ladywell Way, Musselburgh, EH21 6AA
The tag-line for the
conference will be "It’s a Sair Fecht!".
It has already been announced that the 32nd Conference will be held in Dundee.
